We’ve all been there. You’ve sent a risky text to someone, maybe to the wrong person. Or even worse, sent a picture to the wrong person… Well now there’s a way to unsend them with Yahoo Messenger!
It’s been a while since we’ve really heard anything from Yahoo, but they’ve just come back swinging with the updating their messaging app, Yahoo Messenger. The messaging app from Yahoo offers similar features to other messaging apps like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, such as create group chats, name groups and assign an image to the group, send pictures and GIFs. But on feature stands out above the rest.
Yahoo Messanger comes with an ‘unsend’ feature. This allows you a delete any message you sent from the chat. So if you send that embarrassing drunk text and wake up before the recipient, all is not lost!
You will need to use your phone number, similar to WhatsApp, and a Yahoo email address that you can create in the app. But if you ask us, that’s well worth it to reduce the risk of those drunken texts or texts to the wrong person. This app has potentially become the drunk-texting app that the world has been asking for. I wonder how long before Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Snapchat come out with a similar feature now that they’ve been beaten to the game…
The new messaging app is available for iOS and Android, as well as having a web version that you can access from a computer.
