After Brexit fears became a reality on Friday morning, GoT fans quickly realised something… Part of the show is filmed in Norther Ireland.

Fears that a Brexit will discourage investment in the UK have been widely publicised. Hollywood studios could be discouraged from filming in the UK, due to the fact that they will no longer have access to European subsidies.

Thankfully, these fears were short lived after HBO, creators of Game of Thrones, announced released a statement saying “We do not anticipate that the result of the EU referendum will have any material effect on HBO producing Game of Thrones”.

This response is largely due to the fact that HBO have received no support from this fund for the past few series.

So GoT fans, you have nothing to fear.
