Despite being the ripe old age of 90, Dick Van Dyke is not one to shy away from the limelight. He’s been filmed serenading the public with a rendition of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Dyke starred in the 1968 film as the inventor Caractacus Pott. It was hugely popular when it came out and is still popular today, with tickets for the musical adaptation in such high demand that more dates have been put on for later this year.
The actor was out for dinner with friends when he bursts into song. With some back up from his table he showed just how good a performer he still is. He later posted it to Facebook saying ‘Breakfast at Denny’s, with a side of grits makes me want to sing!!’
It seems that he just can’t help but sing as this hasn’t been his only outburst. Not long ago he held a singalong outside Walt Disney’s Chicago home.
So keep an eye out, he could be bursting into song anytime, anywhere!
